Pre-Sign Up FAQs
Not sure if you?re ready to commit to Cleanse Your Body, Cleanse Your Life? We highly recommend you read these FAQs before signing up.
Does this program have to be done in three consecutive weeks?
Yes. Please do this program when you can commit three weeks to it. It was designed to be this length of time for specific reasons and it won?t be as effective if it?s done on and off. It takes courage and hard work on a daily basis to make a change and keep healthy habits in place, and three weeks is a good starting point.
There are three phases to change.
1. The Honeymoon Period ? This period of time represents the point where your initial excitement and motivation is enough to inspire change.
2. The Fight Thru ? As your inspiration wanes and reality sets in, the fight thru is a crucial phase. You must win the fight thru?s for your habits to become second nature. How do you win the fight?
Recognize when you?re feeling struggle and say to yourself, ?I have entered the fight-thru phase and to win, I need to move past it.?
Ask the emotional questions. How will you feel if you give up now? What will you feel if you complete your commitment? How will your friends, family, doctors, co-workers feel if you don?t follow through?
Where will your health be and how will you feel in five years if you don?t begin to make these changes now?
3. Second Nature ? You are feeling your groove, you can manage and make it work and are committed to doing so.? When you reach this phase, that?s when you know lasting change is possible.? But, don?t get lazy during your ?second nature? phase. GREAT HABITS ARE FORMED DAILY. Just as you can make wellness a habit, you can make unhealthy a habit too!
Please note: This program was designed not to interfere with every day life, and outside of circumstances such as vacationing, a wedding, competing in the Olympics, etc. you should be able to complete the program without having to take any breaks from normal activities such as work, exercise, events and social activities.
What if I have questions during this program?
Email me with any questions at?info@elissagoodman.com.? My commitment is to answer your questions within a reasonable amount of time.? You can also use my website or social media to reach out with questions. You will find these good resources for recipes, supplements, and lifestyle recommendations as well.
Will I lose weight on this program?
Weight-loss can absolutely happen on this program, but it shouldn?t be your sole reason for doing it. Each person has different levels of toxicity, health issues, genetic history and hormonal patterns. Some people will not begin to release inflammation and extra weight until they have found their equilibrium well into the program.
I have included a cleanse note on extra things you can do if your main goal is weight loss. If you follow this program, it will occur.
Don?t stress yourself out by weighing yourself everyday. How you feel is a more accurate measure of success. Instead of numbers on the scale, focus on your energy levels, sleep patterns, digestion, elimination, mood, skin, and clarity of thoughts.
What kind of detox symptoms can I expect?
This cleanse program is not your typical all raw and/or juice cleanse so you should not have the typical uncomfortable cleanse symptoms. Cleanse symptoms vary depending on how many toxins your tissues are holding. They may include things like: headache, bloating, gas, diarrhea, nausea, sweats, PMS-like symptoms, and more. These symptoms are temporary. Fresh air, filtered water with lemon, sleep, moving your body, taking a hot bath and getting a massage are all things that will help you. If you have symptoms that are concerning, always call your doctor.
Can I do this program if I am pregnant or nursing?
I do not recommend cleansing while pregnant or nursing. Cleansing is a process that stirs up a lot of toxins in your body and when your body is supporting another life, it could be dangerous to let those toxins run wild.
However, if you are trying to get pregnant, this is an amazing program to put your body and health in perfect shape to support another life. Also, if you want to lose those extra baby pounds, this program is perfect too.
Can I exercise while doing this program?
Yes, absolutely. I hope you do! Cleanse Your Body, Cleanse Your Life is a very nutrient-dense program and should give you more energy than usual. Certain exercise is a very important aspect of cleansing the toxins from the body and the mind so I highly encourage it.
Yoga, walking, swimming, dance, bicycling, jumping on a mini trampoline and even cleaning the house – these are all wonderful ways to keep the body active and keep the lymph flowing which will definitely aid the cleansing process and assist your body in burning fat and keeping lean muscle, without adding too much stress.
If you are training for a marathon, triathlon or anything that is considered an extreme physical activity, I highly recommend that you DO NOT do this program. Cleansing requires energy and we want to make sure that the body has enough of it to fully cleanse.
Can I do this program while taking antibiotics?
Cleansing is an excellent supplement to antibiotics. While the antibiotics are busy killing off all the bacteria in your system, both good and bad, the cleanse will be providing your body with the nutrients necessary to replenish the good bacteria and defend against the regrowth of bad bacteria. Extended cleanses are great for strengthening your immune system to keep you healthy in the future.
Can I do the program if I have a health concern?
I would check with your doctor before starting any type of cleanse program. Also, you can contact me to ask about any health questions or concerns.
Can I continue to take supplements that I was taking prior to being on the program?
If you are taking supplements under a doctor?s or nutritionist?s care, I would continue taking them.? If not, you can contact me to discuss supplements or to see if what you currently take would interfere with the supplements that I recommend.
What supplements should I take after I complete the program?
All of the supplements I recommend on this cleanse can be taken on an on-going basis after you have completed the program.? They will only enhance your health, weight maintenance and well-being.
Supplements simply help bridge the gap between what your body needs and what’s lacking from your daily diet. Everyone is different, and there is no correct formula of supplements that’s right for everyone. If you’d like to talk with me about your diet, lifestyle, and what supplements might be best to include for you, feel free to contact me? How many calories will I be eating on the program?
The simple answer is: I do not believe in counting calories. Counting cleanse calories is very different from counting regular calories. Your body knows how to use each and every calorie and assimilate all the nutrients in the raw and real foods and juices you will be consuming.
Cleansing is about shifting your focus from ?calorie counting? to ?nutrient counting.? ?A cleanse floods your body with live enzymes and nutrients so you will be satisfied with less food.
How do I monitor my portion control?
Everyone will be different, but a good rule of thumb is what is commonly called a Buddha Bowl. This Zen idea enables you to control portions and adapt your eating habits without much stress. The concept is very simple. Your entire serving of food fits into this one bowl: your cupped hands being the general size.
If you’re still hungry 20 minutes later (once your brain has had time to register fullness), you can have a second (smaller) helping, stop when you feel satisfied, yet light and energized.
When should I NOT cleanse?
You are the best judge of your body?s needs. If you feel bloated, tired, run-down, achy, have a lot of blemishes and any other symptoms of not feeling well, you are a perfect candidate for this program but I advise you to allow yourself to ease into it by taking my suggestions and incorporating them into your lifestyle before embarking on the program. Drink more water, eat more whole-foods, cut out the dairy and the gluten, etc. for a week or two before beginning the program. This will allow you to have a more effective experience.
If you feel like your ?normal? self, go ahead and cleanse. If it doesn?t feel right to you, don?t do it. Cleansing should never add stress to your life, it should help to remove it!? If you have any health concerns, you should check with your doctor before starting the program.
Is this program refundable?
The minute you sign up and your payment is processed, you will begin to receive awesome information that took lots of effort to compile. So, unfortunately, I can?t give you your money back once you have all my recommendations, recipes and nutritional advice.
Here?s the good news: this program can and will work for you. Of course, your results can?t be guaranteed and everyone?s body is different, but I believe in this program 100%. If something isn?t sitting right or you?re having issues getting the results you want, I am here to help you troubleshoot.
If you commit to this program, you will see results and you will feel more energized and vibrant than ever. I can guarantee that.
