My Number One Health Product: Further Food’s Collagen Peptides

I am going to cut right to the chase here: I am absolutely, positively obsessed with Further Food’s Collagen Peptides. It is probably the number one product that I use the most regularly – I use it every single day without fail. Collagen is made primarily of three amino acids—proline, hydroxyproline and glycine. Proline and glycine are essential amino acids, which means we must consume them through diet because our body cannot make them on its own. Since it is hard to get enough quality collagen in our diet, we can get these essential amino acids through collagen supplementation. Collagen is immensely important for overall health and wellness and it is one of my top tips for graceful aging. Collagen is the most abundant protein in our bodies––it is found in our skin, bones, and even in our teeth. It is incredibly important for skin elasticity as well as hair and nail strength. It helps to prevent wrinkles and joint pain, improve gut health by healing leaky gut and curbing cravings, it increases bone strength, and it boosts muscle repair. We lose collagen as we age, which leads to wrinkly and saggy skin, thinning hair, weak bones and joint stiffness.

When I am taking collagen peptides regularly, my nails grow really quickly and they become super strong. I have never experienced anything else like it. I have clients who I have recommended the peptides to for brittle nails and multiple of them have come back to me astonished at the differences they notice in their nail strength in a short amount of time. These collagen peptides also make my hair super silky and strong – I never get those split baby hairs when I am taking the peptides regularly. The collagen gives my skin a legitimate glow and it causes it to hold onto moisture, so it never feels super dry (like it does when I am not taking collagen peptides). If all of these incredible results are happening on the surface level of my body, imagine what these peptides are doing internally for my gut and joint health!

I always recommend Further Food’s peptides to my clients because most of us do not get nearly enough collagen in our day-to-day lives. Even those of us who consume bone broth regularly could likely benefit from a collagen supplement. In a Consumer Lab report that evaluated 11 common bone broths on the market, it was found that most liquid bone broths only contain around 2-6 grams of collagen per cup which is not exactly a collagen boost in my opinion. For that reason, I always add the collagen peptides to bone broth. I use Further Food’s peptides in my own bone broth that is included in my delivered SOUP Cleanse here in Los Angeles, and the feedback for the broth is always overwhelmingly positive. Even when I am drinking bone broth that I did not make myself, I like to add collagen. Further Food offers little stick packets of its peptides, so I always keep a few in my purse for when I grab some bone broth while I am out and on the go.

Aside from bone broth, I love adding the collagen peptides to smoothies, soups, coffee and matcha lattes (Further Food has a sugar-free Superfood Matcha blend that I am also in love with, but I will not overwhelm you with that right now). The peptides blend is totally tasteless, so you can pretty much add it to any liquid without being able to notice it. Further Food’s peptides are completely grass fed and pasture raised so you know they are of the highest quality. Because I am such a huge fan of Further Food’s collagen, I asked them to partner with me so that I can offer my followers a discount code (that is how obsessed I am). Use code “ELISSA” for 15% your order here. As a reminder, I get hundreds of product samples each month from companies who are interested in partnering with me, but I only work with the rare few that I stand behind one hundred percent and use myself.
