Watermelon Detox & Turmeric Crush

Evening rituals are a big part of my cleansing lifestyle.  From turning off technology and winding down to brewing a Tulsi tea and taking an Epsom salt soak, I very much prioritize my pre-sleep routine.  Summertime is the perfect time to switch up the routine.  Longer days, warmer temps, and a different schedule call for cooling evening tonics.  We’ve been making these two drinks for my S.O.U.P. cleansers and have received rave reviews, this cooling watermelon detox is hydrating and is great for cleansing and weight maintenance. It’s high in dietary fiber and citrulline which flushes toxins.  The Turmeric Crush is alkaline, anti-inflammatory, and detoxifying while circuimin (turmeric) has been studied for its sleep benefit.  Enjoy one of these two evening tonics for cleansing and deep sleep benefit.

Watermelon Detox “Smoothie”

Serves 1

Ingredients:

1 cup watermelon, chopped

¼ jalapeno, de-seeded and chopped

1 lime, juiced

2 T. fresh mint, chopped

1 T. fresh ginger, juiced

Directions:

Add all ingredients into blender, blend until smooth. Enjoy cold.

Turmeric Crush

Serves 1

Ingredients:

1 organic navel orange, juiced

1 lemon, juiced

3 inches fresh turmeric, juiced

4 ounce LOVE water from Divine H2O (or alkaline water)

2-3 drops stevia (optional)

Directions:

Fresh juice lemon, orange, and turmeric, stir in LOVE water and add stevia drops. Mix well and enjoy cold.
